Conference – The Sociology of Technologically Mediated Reproduction
Postgraduate students from the Reproduction Research Group at De Montfort University are hosting a Postgraduate Conference on ‘The Sociology of Technologically Mediated Reproduction’ at De Montfort University (Leicester, UK) on Thursday 29th May. Please note the closing date for the call for abstracts is Friday 21st March.
Postgraduate students and early career researchers are invited to submit abstracts for oral presentation at the conference which will include a keynote lecture from Professor Sarah Franklin from Cambridge University as well as a seminar on academic publishing in the field of assisted reproduction. All delegates, including those not selected for oral presentation, are invited to display an A3 poster for discussion at the event.
This conference is a great opportunity for postgraduate students and early career researchers to network and present their work to their peers in an informal and participatory environment. We hope that this conference will serve as a platform for the creation of a new postgraduate network bringing together those researching social aspects of assisted reproduction. Included within the conference fee are lunch and a networking reception with wine and nibbles.
